Ingredients

  • 8 teaspoons Himalayan salt fine or crushed from coarse
  • 8 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 8 teaspoons onion powder
  • 8 teaspoons paprika regular, smoked, or spicy
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns or ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Optional: cayenne pepper or hot paprika for heat

Equipment

  • Mortar and pestle or spice grinder
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Clean spice jar for storage

Method

  1. Grind the peppercorns. Use a mortar and pestle (or grinder) until you reach your preferred coarseness.
  2. Crush coarse salt (if needed). Himalayan salt can be chunky-give it a quick grind for better blending.
  3. Add herbs. Mix in dried oregano and parsley.
  4. Combine the aromatics. Stir in garlic, onion powder, and paprika.
  5. Customize the heat. Add a pinch of cayenne if you like spice.
  6. Mix everything well. Stir until the color looks even and the blend is uniform.
  7. Store the seasoning. Transfer to a sealed jar and keep it in a cool, dry place.
  8. Season the fries. Sprinkle over hot fries and toss to coat. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

This seasoning lasts up to six months when stored in a sealed spice jar away from heat and sunlight. We always give the jar a quick shake before using, especially if the fine powders settle. Since it contains no fresh ingredients, it stays flavorful for a long time.
